Two acquisitions by the same buyer in the same month, both aimed at the same problem. If you are a customer of either target, here is what actually changes.

Verified corporate events in sales technology in June and July 2026. All three point at the same problem: pricing and billing models that fixed-term subscription tooling was not designed for.
A recurring brief. We report transactions and appointments we can verify against a named source with a date, we say when something is an agreement rather than a completion, and we lead with what it means for people who already use the products.
This edition is short, and we are telling you why at the end rather than padding it.
Salesforce agrees to acquire Fin for approximately $3.6 billion
Announced 15 June 2026. Salesforce will acquire Fin, formerly Intercom, for approximately $3.6 billion subject to customary purchase price adjustments, with the transaction expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce's fiscal 2027. Fin's proprietary model is named Apex, and Salesforce cites more than 30,000 customer companies.
What changes if you are a customer. Nothing immediately, and that is the correct expectation for an acquisition that has not closed. The questions worth asking your account team now, rather than after close, are the ones acquisitions typically answer badly: the renewal price at the first renewal after close, whether the standalone product continues to be sold to companies that are not Salesforce customers, and the integration roadmap for anyone running Fin alongside a competing CRM. Get the answers in writing before the close, because leverage does not improve afterwards.
Salesforce completes the m3ter acquisition
Announced 8 June 2026 and completed 1 July 2026. Price not disclosed. m3ter supplies consumption metering and rating, and folds into Salesforce's revenue management product for usage-based billing. Salesforce cited the flexible usage and outcome-based pricing models needed for the AI era, and automation of monetisation flows across CRM, ERP and quote-to-cash systems.
What changes if you are a customer. This is the smaller transaction and the more consequential one for anyone selling on consumption. Metering moving inside the CRM vendor's revenue product is a structural change to where the pricing logic lives. If you currently meter in one system, rate in another and quote in a third, the direction of travel is now visibly toward consolidation, and it is worth knowing whether your architecture is about to be on the wrong side of a platform decision.
HubSpot launches Revenue Hub
Announced 18 June 2026, positioned explicitly as quote to cash, finally in one place.
What it means. Two platform vendors making the same bet within ten days is the signal, not either announcement on its own. The friction in B2B selling has moved downstream, from finding the deal to pricing, approving, billing and recognising it, and both major CRM platforms have now said so with capital.
If your deal desk is the constraint on your quarter, you are not an outlier. You are the reason two platform vendors spent June building for you.
What we could not verify, and why we are saying so
We found no salestech funding round in June or July 2026 that we could verify with a named source, an amount, a lead investor and a date. We found no senior leadership change at a salestech company that met the same standard.
That is a limitation of our verification this cycle rather than a finding that nothing happened. Funding and executive-move news lives on outlets we could not reach in this research pass. We would rather publish two verified transactions and say so than publish twelve items we have not checked.
Our standard for this brief. Every item names a source that is either the company itself, a regulatory filing or a named publication with a date. We do not report a round, an acquisition or an appointment from a roundup we cannot trace to a primary. Where a roundup is the only source, we say it is single-sourced. If you know of a June or July transaction we have missed, write to us and we will verify and add it.
This is reporting on corporate events. It is not investment advice, and nothing here is a recommendation regarding any company or security. Where a transaction is an offer or an agreement rather than a completion, we say so.
